1. Can rings be done in any color?
Yes, they can. Please be aware that certain enamel colors look one way in white gold or platinum and look different in yellow gold. The reason for this is that we use transparent enamel and they reflect the surface of the metal. It is better to select colors in yellow gold for yellow gold rings or colors in white gold for white gold rings. this is important as we do not want you to be disappointed. If we do opaque colors like white, black and some new ones we have done it does not matter the surface of the metal underneath. Opaque enamel is enamel that you do not see any of the engraving underneath the enamel

2. Can I buy individual rings?
Yes, of course.

3. Do customers collect Hidalgo rings?
Yes. In fact, we have a lady with over 50 rings. We have other customers with more than 25 bracelets and rings. We have many with more than 10 rings.

4. Are there famous people wearing the collection?
Many. Jewelers tell me all the time and they are the who’s who in celebrities, hollywood, government, social, and industrial sectors. Since we do not give our jewelry away to celebrities, we feel however that it is an invasion of privacy to divulge names. A neat question is which celebrity wears a size 2 1/2 ring. Can you guess?

5. What is the metal underneath the enamel?
We work with 18K yellow gold, or 18K white gold and platinum. We have recently introduced a collection in silver. However all our rings are made in 18K gold.

6. Can we order rings in any size?
Yes. For rings size 8 or larger, we charge 10 % more.

7. How long does it take for special orders?
1 month. Bridal jewelry without enamel can be delivered in two weeks. For the important holidays you can order by December 10 for Christmas, by Jan 24 for Feb 14, and by May 1 for Mother's day.

8. Who designs the collection?
The collection is designed by Silvio Hidalgo from a wonderful spot in the Virgin Islands and all 18K gold is manufactured in Miami, Florida. All watches are Swiss made. Mr. Hidalgo is a world traveler having visited over 120 countries. He was born in Cuba and came to the US as a child. Graduated Electrical Engineering and worked for IBM, He later started a computer company and while living in Monte Carlo, found his passion for jewelry.

9. Is it important to give you the correct size in rings?
Absolutely. This is imperative as these rings are very difficult and expensive to resize. Also if the ring has an all around design and it needs to be resize we may have to add a piece of gold to resize it and will not look even all around. Please make sure you have the correct size. If you don't know the size take the ring that is available in stock. Do not have a ring made unless you know the size.

10. Are all rings available all around?
No. We hear from many customers that thought the ring is all the way around when it is not. Please double check this so you are not disappointed. All guards rings are available half way with diamonds or can be ordered all the way around. Some enamel rings are available all the way around. Sometimes the diamonds and the designs half way around or all the way around. Some enamel rings are just half way around and simply have a gold shank in the back. Please verify this so you are not disappointed.

11. What are the future plans of the company?
Mr. Hidalgo has expanded into silver jewelry, pens, watches and belts that match his watch straps. He is beginning a bridal collection and will soon expand into eyewear, leather goods and accessories.

12. Do I have to worry about enamel chipping?
The Italians have invented a type of enamel that hardly ever chips and is quite durable, unlike the enamel used until the seventies. If you have a problem Hidalgo will repair it in their headquarters for a modest charge.

13. Do I need special care with Hidalgo's enamel?
Unlike others enamel you can use enamel year round and use it even doing household shores. Its biggest enemy is an open flame and harmful acids that will usually hurt your skin more than the ring. it can come in contact with ammonia or other household cleaners and it will not be affected.
